Are there any special laws that apply to bicyclists in Florida?
Video Transcription:
In Florida there are several rules that apply especially to bicycles in particular. First, when a bicycle is riding on the street, the bicycle is considered to be a vehicle, and the rider is considered to be a driver, and they must abide by all the traffic laws.
Second, when a bicycle is on the sidewalk, or in a crosswalk, the bicycle is considered to be a pedestrian, and has all the rights and obligations of a pedestrian. And third, a bicycle rider is not permitted to wear headphones, or earbuds, or listen to music while they’re riding their bicycle.
