Cyclists who are injured while riding there bicycle, can recover benefits from their own automobile auto insurance policy. First, they can make a recovery under PIP or what is known as ‘no fault.’ That will pay a portion of your medical expenses for injuries sustained as a result of a bike accident.
Second, if the driver who causes the accident is either uninsured or under insured, then the cyclist who is injured can make a claim against their own automobile insurance policy under uninsured or under insured motorist coverage for benefits.
