What is negligent security?

Property owners in Florida are obligated to maintain their property in a reasonably safe condition. That includes providing for security on their property. We get a lot of calls from people who are the victims of crime on commercial property.
When we investigate we find that the property owner has failed to provide basic security even though they knew the crimes were being committed on the premises or near the premises and that is negligent security.
