Husband Recovers After Losing Wife in Colonoscopy Death
Mr. and Mrs. Rodriguez were married for over 40 years when Mrs. Rodriguez was scheduled for a colonscopy through a CAC Medical Center in Miami. Following the colonoscopy, Mrs. Rodriguez suffered a massive bleed and died. Our analysis of demonstrated that the colonsocopy was overly aggressive and that although polyps were purportedly removed, the pathology demonstrated that none actually were. This aggressive yanking and pulling of the colon led to internal bleeding when the supporting tissued surrounding the colon started to hemorrhage. The case settled on confidental terms at a court-ordered mediation. Mr. Rodriguez said of PDM’s representation: “Mr. Pita was thorough, well prepared, and determined. Thank you for all of your help. I am grateful.”
