Shannon Del Prado’s Tenacity Results in Full Tender of $300K Limits in Hit and Run
Shannon Del Prado was focused on determining the identity of a hit and run driver, who left Mr. B on the road with a complicated leg fracture and knee injury. Mr. B was on his scooter, picking up diapers for his newborn, when he was side-swiped by a large SUV. Two people in the SUV jumped out to look at Mr. B sprawled out on the asphalt, jumped back into the SUV and took off. One witness took a fuzzy picture of the SUV as it sped off. Using photo enhancing technology, Shannon was able to figure out all characters of the license plate except one. She then ran the permutations on that one character until she got a match to the SUV – and the owner’s identity was then revealed! Shannon also obtained several witness statements on the crash. Even then, the liability carrier denied the claim. Shannon and Skip Pita filed suit. After deposing the driver and exposing the driver’s evasive and nonsensical answers, Shannon and Skip again demanded the policy limits. This time, the liability carrier tendered the full $300K.
PWD is proud to have worked tirelessly to uncover the truth. Shannon’s tenacity shines through again.
